Songwriting, recordings & collaborations: my music brings blues, rock, rebetiko, and jazz into conversation through songwriting, guitar playing and experimentation.
Nassos Conqueso
I write and perform as Nassos Conqueso, bringing together songwriting, multi-instrumental performance and recording production. My music draws on blues, rock, jazz, rebetiko and other influences, exploring their connections through original songs and arrangements.
Alongside voice and electric and acoustic guitars, my recordings feature instruments including keyboards, baglamás, mando-cümbüş, ukulele, harmonica, tzourás and stylophone. Fingerstyle, bottleneck playing and experimentation with instrumental combinations shape my approach to sound and arrangement.
My songs move between Greek and English, drawing on different approaches to melody, harmony and rhythmic feel. This creative practice also informs my research: composing, arranging and performing provide ways to explore musical relationships that I examine through analysis.

Sakké ConQuéso
Alongside my solo work, I am part of the duo Sakké ConQuéso. This project provides another setting for collaboration, arrangement and performance.
Collaborations
My contributions to this album include composition, co-arrangement, vocals, electric, acoustic and 12-string guitars, and baglamás on one track; co-arrangement, ukulele and banjo on another; and co-production on four tracks developed in Greece. Credited as Nassos Polyzoidis.
